LiteCure LCT-1000 Laser Therapy

Texas Spine Clinic uses the LiteCure LCT-1000, an innovative laser therapy system designed to relieve pain and expedite healing times.

The LiteCure system takes advantage of a process called biostimulation. Biostimulation is the addition of nutrients into waste to help existing microbes break down waste in the muscles more effectively. The non-ionizing laser sends waves into tissue within the red to near-infrared part of the light spectrum, activating biostimulation.

How does laser therapy work?

The laser therapy system works by flooding your body’s tissues with photons. These photons energize damaged cells and increase circulation in areas of pain. Your body responds to the treatment by quickly reducing inflammation, which can alleviate or even eliminate pain.

IT IS A 5 STEP PROCESS:

  1. Poorly oxygenated tissue is lightly irradiated
  2. Photons from the laser activate a biochemical reaction
  3. Protein and collagen synthesize
  4. cAMP (cyclic adenosine monophosphate) levels rise
  5. Compromised cells begin to regrow

Protein and collagen synthesis are processes that help rebuild damaged muscle tissue.

Proteins are the building blocks of muscles, and collagen allows muscles to perform their functions. Laser therapy helps activate synthesis of these proteins with damaged muscle tissue.

Rising cAMP levels provide more effective pathways for biological healing processes. cAMP is like a messenger that facilitates communication between the brain and the area in need of healing. More messengers allow for faster relief.

Treatments are non-surgical, which means our doctors can provide the treatment without the strains that other cold laser or low-level laser systems may include.

The LiteCure system uses 15 watts of laser light. The laser is powerful enough to reach the deepest areas of pain without risking damage. It travels through a specialized quartz ball that your therapist will use to massage your sore muscles while administering laser therapy. The massage aids circulation and increases the effectiveness of the laser.

What can LiteCure Laser Therapy treat?

LiteCure Laser Therapy can be used to treat conditions that cause muscular discomfort or pain, such as:

  • Neck pain
  • Back pain
  • Wrist and Hand Injuries
  • Knee and Joint Pain
  • Foot and Ankle Problems

Laser therapy has been in use for over thirty years around the world with no known side effects. LiteCure Laser Therapy employs Class IV lasers, which run at a longer wavelength and higher power than lower category lasers. It enables the laser to penetrate deep tissue without causing discomfort.

Can I trust laser light therapy?

Yes, laser light therapy is one of the only non-invasive treatments for pain, and evidence of its effectiveness is gaining strength.

In a clinical trial by Danilo Hofling, 15 patients underwent 10 sessions of laser light therapy twice a week. All of the patients in the study found that they needed less therapy to manage pain as the study continued. 7 participants reported that they no longer needed laser therapy at all. As part of a pain management lifestyle, laser light therapy is a comfortable, non-intrusive solution to your pain.
