Kevin S. Barton, D.C.

Founder · Chiropractor · In practice since 2003

Kevin S. Barton, D.C.

Dr. Barton earned his Doctor of Chiropractic degree and a Bachelor of Science in Human Biology at Texas Chiropractic College in Pasadena, Texas. He founded Texas Spine Clinic in 2006 and is a member of the American Chiropractic Association and the Texas Chiropractic Association.

He has used the DRX9000 since 2005, when he watched it help his brother, Dr. Robert Barton, recover from a herniated disc. More than 2,000 patients have been treated on it since. He was the first to bring scrambler therapy to San Antonio, after advanced training in Rome with Dr. Giuseppe Marineo, the treatment's inventor. In 2025 he went through the DRX9000 program himself, for one of the worst herniated discs he'd seen in his career, and filmed the whole course of treatment, MRIs included. Watch his nine-part series.

Outside the clinic, he flies. He holds an Airline Transport Pilot certificate for airplanes and helicopters, instructs in instrument, single- and multi-engine aircraft, and flies WWII aircraft, with more than 6,000 hours in over 40 aircraft types. He and his wife, Tessa, have two sons, Preston and Jackson, and a daughter, Kaitlyn. As a family, they love to travel and ski.

What happens next

Start with one visit

  1. Call or request a consultation. Tell us what hurts, and we'll book you with the right treatment — you can be seen the same day.
  2. Your first visit: your history, your exam, and your first treatment — most patients start the same day. Plan on about 90 minutes — roughly 30 for the exam (a little more if we take X-rays), then about 45 in treatment. For decompression, we'll send you for an MRI or CT if you don't have one.
  3. Your plan: what we found, what we recommend, and your investment in writing with any insurance credit applied. For decompression, that happens at your imaging review, with your MRI on the screen.
