This policy explains how Texas Spine Clinic, P.A. (“Texas Spine Clinic,” “we,” “us”) handles information collected through this website, texasspineclinic.com, and through the forms and booking calendars on it. We keep it short and in plain English.
Information we collect
Information you give us. When you book an appointment, request a voucher or a patient guide, or contact us, we collect what you enter — usually your name, email address, mobile phone number, preferred appointment time, and what brings you in.
Information collected automatically. Like nearly every website, our hosting provider keeps standard server logs (such as IP address, browser type and pages visited). We may use analytics and advertising-measurement tools, such as those from Google, to understand how the site is used and whether our ads reach the right people. Embedded services on some pages — our appointment scheduler, Google Maps and YouTube videos — are provided by third parties and may set their own cookies under their own privacy policies. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings.
How we use it
- To schedule, confirm and remind you about appointments — by phone, email or text message.
- To send you the voucher or guide you asked for, and occasional patient-education emails. Every email includes an unsubscribe link.
- To respond when you contact us, and to run and improve the website.
- To comply with the law, when required.
Text messages and your mobile number
If you give us your mobile number and agree to receive texts on one of our forms, we may text you about your visit — scheduling, confirmations, reminders, and the voucher or guide you asked for. Consent is not a condition of treatment. Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to any message to opt out, or HELP for help. You can also call us at (210) 741-9166. No mobile information will be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. Text-messaging originator opt-in data and consent are excluded from every category of sharing described in this policy and are never shared with anyone. The only parties that handle your mobile number are the vendors that send messages on our behalf.
What we don’t do
We do not sell or rent your personal information. We do not share it with third parties for their own advertising.
Service providers
A small number of vendors process information on our behalf so the practice can run: our scheduling and patient-communications platform, our email and text-message delivery services, our website hosting provider, and the analytics tools described above. They may use it only to provide those services to us.
Your health information
This website is for education and scheduling. It is not a patient portal, and its forms are not the place for detailed medical information — please share your medical history with us at your visit. Health information we hold about you as your healthcare provider is protected under HIPAA and governed by our Notice of Privacy Practices, available at our office.
If you are having a medical emergency, call 911. Do not use this website.
Keeping your information and your choices
We keep contact information for as long as it’s useful for the purposes above. You can unsubscribe from emails at any time, stop texts by replying STOP, and ask us to correct or delete your contact information by calling (210) 741-9166.
Security
We use reasonable safeguards to protect the information you send us. No method of sending information over the internet is completely secure, so please don’t send medical records through a website form.
Children
This website is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their information online.
Links and changes
Pages on this site may link to other websites, which have their own privacy practices. Use of this site is also covered by our Terms of Service, which include the full text-message program terms. If we change this policy, we will post the updated version here with a new effective date.
